Favorites.

Doug and I have been living in Cheonan for a little over a month now.  We're finally starting to develop a routine and feel settled in here (actually, we both feel like we have been here waaay longer than a month!).  So, as my first series of posts, I wanted to show you all some of our favorites things here in Korea.

1. The Mountains in Korea

Korea is covered with mountains.  Doug and I have really enjoyed going for hikes on the weekend.  The landscape of Korea is so different from what we are used to.  The mountains are green, lush and so beautiful - definitely a change from those dry mountains of California!  We literally can leave our apartment, walk for ten minutes, and end up at the trail head of a mountain.  Here are some things we've noticed about the mountains here...

Some mountains here have lots of really old stairs that take you to the top.  Believe me, you feel the burn!
Some have a big buddha waiting for you when you finish those stairs.
Some people here like to stack piles of rocks when they hike.
Other mountains have tall and super thin trees.
Some look over the miles and miles of rice fields below them.
And some mountains have a really handsome guy at the top of them :)
